Great Ideas

The VenueTech team is pleased to provide a handful of ideas from our Success Toolbox. Check back often to pick up new ideas and download ready files.

Marketing and Promotion

If your marketing strategy includes flyers or posters, be sure to use them aggressively. Believe it or not, often organizations go to the expense of producing these tools only to leave them sitting on a shelf!

If print or radio ads are part of your campaign … negotiate!

You will often find you can get a lower rate than the rate originally quoted just by asking for it.

It is next to impossible to find a date for your event when absolutely nothing else is scheduled. Analyze the competition! For example, it is better to schedule your "Barn Dance" the same weekend as the symphony benefit, rather than during the County Fair.

Ticket Sales

All ticket sellers must be knowledgeable about your event. There is nothing worse than an "I don't know" response to a patron's question.

An enthusiastic sales person can sell twice as many tickets as a less motivated individual.

Sponsorships

Sponsorship Rule Number 1 … Quality sponsorships are relationships. Both parties give and both parties receive. Treat your sponsor as a partner.

As with advertising aimed at customers, it is essential to target the demographics of your potential sponsors.

Sponsorship is a competitive business. There are many other organizations in search of sponsors. Present your proposal in a professional manner to assure the sponsor that their money will be spent wisely.
